BAE wins MRAP contracts - Business Courier of Cincinnati:

Under the award, the companyy said it will produce three more test vehicles of each versiojn to undergo additional survivability andmobility testing. One versionb of the vehicle is produced byBAE Systems' Globakl Tactical Systems business and the other by its U.S. Combat Systemd business. The former version will be produced atthe company'ws facilities in West Chester and in Texas, as well as other partner facilities. BAE Systems' Cincinnati-based Security & Survivability unit designed and developerd the survivability components of the Global TacticalSystemsw version.
Those components included its blast-protectedc hull, advanced armor solutionsa which utilizeproprietary light-weight materials developexd by BAE Systems, and seating and restraint The vehicles are referred to as MRAP All-Terrain or M-ATVs. They are lighter, more-mobilw versions of the company's mine-resistant, ambush-protecteds (MRAP) vehicles now used in BAE Systems said in a statement announcing thelatesrt contracts.
